Is X-Men available to watch on Netflix?
Jeff
Jeff, TV analyst for WatchTVAbroad hails from Pennsylvania, United States and after growing up disinterested in sport found his sport calling in his late teenage years. Now he loves nothing more than streaming boxing, MMA and other combat sports.
X-Men movies have been around for two decades now, ever since the original X-Men came out in 2000.
But are they on Netflix?
It’s the question I’ll be answering in this article and if they’re not available in your country, I’ll show you how you can access them anyway.
The franchise has 12 movies in total, most of which became quite successful and are still popular to this day.
However, the big question is – can you find them on Netflix? Let’s find out.
Does Netflix have X-Men?
As you undoubtedly know well by now, Netflix offers different content to different countries, depending on the streaming licenses, popularity of content in certain areas, and many other factors.
What that means for franchises like this is that they will likely never be fully available in a single location.
There are 12 different X-Men movies which are
- X-Men
- X2
- X-Men 3: The Last Stand
- X-Men Origins: Wolverine
- X-Men: First Class
- The Wolverine
- X-Men: Days of Future Past
- Deadpool
- X-Men: Apocalypse
- Logan
- Deadpool 2
- Dark Phoenix
Sadly, none are available on Netflix anymore. However, if you want to get watching, I have the answer below.
How to watch in my region?
If you are interested in watching the movies then you’ll need Disney+.
If you’ve already got a subscription then you can head over there. However, if Disney+ isn’t available you’ll need something called a VPN app.
VPNs are online privacy, security, and anonymity apps that have gotten quite a lot of use for their ability to bypass censorship and geo-restrictions.
With them, you can connect to servers in different countries and appear to be located in those countries, at least as far as online services are concerned.
In other words, with a VPN app, you can unblock access to any of the movies and services like Disney+.
Where to get a VPN?
There are plenty of VPN providers out there – hundreds, even.
But, not all of them are good, many are not useful for unblocking Disney+, and choosing the right one can be quite tricky.
For unblocking X-Men movies, we suggest using ExpressVPN, as it works in all regions.
Alternatively, you can use NordVPN and Surfshark so you’re free to choose.

All about the X-Men movies
As explained above, there are X-Men movies, which have been establishing the world and the lore of this universe for two full decades now.
Let’s take a quick look at each.
X-Men
The first movie introduces some of the characters – mutants – that we will come to think of as ‘main’ characters, such as Logan, Professor Charles Xavier, Magneto, and others.
It also hints at Professor Xavier and Magneto having a long, complex past.
X-Men 2
The second movie continues where the first one left off, with mostly the same cast, but also a rising tide of anti-mutant sentiment.
It also hints at Logan’s mysterious past that he cannot remember.
X-Men 3
The third movie comes with quite a few twists, where one of the characters, believed to have died in the previous movie returns, although not quite the same.
The change is a major point of conflict, while another one is an apparent cure for mutants.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine
The fourth movie, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, is one that tries to explore the past that Logan fails to remember due to a combination of trauma, experiments that were conducted on him, and physical changes that he experienced during that time.
It takes place in the distant past before Logan became Wolverine.
X-Men: First Class
X-Men: First Class is another look into a distant past, which follows young Charles Xavier, as well as his close friend, Eric, who is to become his greatest rival, Magneto.
These are the mutants in their younger days, which form a team that must save the world from nuclear annihilation, alongside other familiar characters from earlier movies, in their younger days.
Wolverine
The Wolverine, the sixth movie, is actually the second in the trilogy of Wolverine films which acts as a standalone sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
It once again follows Logan, who loses his healing powers and needs to battle a deadly samurai, all the while suffering from the feeling of guilt for his friends’ demise.
X-Men: Days of Future Past
X-Men: Days of Future Past starts in the present, but it soon moves the plot into the past, as Wolverine travels multiple decades back in time to try and change history.
Deadpool
Then, there is Deadpool, which came as a massive hit a few years back, and which re-tells the story of Deadpool – a mercenary who develops cancer and decides to undertake an experimental treatment that is supposed to rid him of the disease and give him superpowers.
Left mentally and physically scarred but also immortal, he goes on a quest to get his revenge.
X-Men: Apocalypse
X-Men: Apocalypse, the 9th movie in the franchise, tells the story of an ancient mutant that awoke in 1983, with plans to wipe out the modern civilization and conquer the world, with the X-Men being the only thing standing in his way.
Logan
Logan comes as the 10th film in the franchise and it concludes the Wolverine trilogy, taking place in the future where Logan’s slowed aging process and a lifetime of struggle finally catch up to him alongside his enemies, as he tries to be the hero one last time.
Deadpool 2
Then, there is Deadpool 2, which sees Deadpool form a special team called the X-Force to try and protect a young mutant from a time-traveling soldier, Cable.
Of course, things get infinitely more complicated before long.
Dark Phoenix
Lastly, there is Dark Phoenix, the final movie in the franchise (for now), that once again deals with one of the X-Men losing control and allowing her more powerful and less stable alter ego to take the power and control, thus becoming a major threat that the rest of the X-Men have to try and stop from destroying the world.
Conclusion
The X-Men franchise tells a long and complicated story that spans throughout decades, but the problem is finding a way to watch all of those movies via the modern streaming services, like Disney Plus.
The service isn’t available globally.
However, by using a VPN from ExpressVPN, you can unlock the majority of the movies and start watching where you are.
