In this guide I’ll be showing you how you can live stream the entire Tour of Turkey from anywhere in the world. Best of all, you won’t need a cable subscription and can watch on a legitimate stream.

In four days, a new edition of the Tour of Turkey will begin, and you won’t want to miss it.

But, what is the Tour of Turkey?

Formerly known as the Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey, it’s a professional staged-based road race held in Turkey each year.

It began back in 1965 as an amateur event, but now it has professional status.

This race comprises six stages all around Turkey meant to be completed in six days. This year will be the 55th edition, and it’s scheduled to take place between April 16th and 21st.

It also will be the 17th race for the 2019 UCI World Tour. So, if you wish to watch this event and don’t miss any of its stages, pay careful attention to the next tips.

What you need to watch

Well, you probably you’re asking yourself what you need to watch it. I know I was before I started to research this article.

The event is going to be available to watch on SBS Cycling Central from Australia, but it comes with a caveat.

If you live outside Australia, you’ll need a VPN app such as ExpressVPN to unlock the geo-blocking. This way, you can watch the live stream for free in any country.

So, how do you use a VPN to watch live streaming?

First of all, VPN is short for ‘Virtual Private Network‘, and it acts as an intermediate between your devices and the Internet.

It’s useful to protect your privacy online, and of course to access streaming services that aren’t available in your region.

All you need to do is to choose a VPN service, make an account, download the app, install it on your devices in which you want to watch the tour, and select the region in which what you want to watch is available.

In this particular case, we’re going to choose Australia because the live streaming of the Tour of Turkey is available there.

Once you have completed all these steps, you can enjoy this fantastic racing event.

Below I’ll show you how in easy to follow steps.

How to use the VPN to watch live

There are loads of VPN services out there but not all work for streaming the Tour, my three recommendations are:

  1. ExpressVPNNumber #1 recommendation, 30 day money back guarantee.
  2. IPVanishWorks on most devices.
  3. NordVPNBeginner-friendly.

Once you have chosen a VPN service (my recommendation is ExpressVPN but you’re free to choose) and you have signed up and downloaded the app, you should install it in your devices and log in with your account details.

On the desktop version, press the “Choose Location” button, and then click on “Australia – Sydney 3“, you’ll also need to click to “Connect”.

If you’re on your Android phone or tablet, then you should press “Choose location“, a list of different places will display, and you have to choose “Australia – Sydney 3” (Hint: You’ll find it under All and Asia Pacific).

The app will automatically connect you.
