How to watch Tour De France Femmes anywhere

Tour De France is one of the world’s most recognised sporting events.

As the event was so popular, in 1984, the competition branched out to women athletes, and since then, it’s been a crucial part of the UCI Women’s World Tour.

While initially, it didn’t bring as much excitement as the men’s version of the event, its popularity is rapidly growing, with many female athletes tuning in to watch the competition.

However, there has been some controversy of late. The prize money is only a fraction of what the men’s event winners get, and it has received criticism across the board.

It’s difficult to find the event on local TV and if it’s not available where you are, you could be left missing the action.

Luckily, there’s a way to live stream the entire event anywhere in the world for free on an official network.

Keep reading this guide to discover more.

When is Tour De France Femmes taking place?

The Tour De France Femmes takes place between Sunday, 24th July 2022 and Sunday, 31st July 2022.

The event will take place in multiple locations across France, but I’ll discuss this in a moment.

Where can I watch Tour De France Femmes?

Complete coverage of the Tour De France Femmes event is shown on the Australian channel SBS Cycling Central.

The problem is that SBS Cycling Central restricts its content to Australian viewers only. This means if you’re outside of this region, you won’t be able to access the Tour De France Femmes streams without some help.

What you need to watch where you are

If you want to stream Tour De France Femmes in your country, you need a VPN app.

By using a VPN app, you can avoid the restrictions placed on the SBS Cycling Central content no matter where you are in the world.

VPNs are handy apps that can be installed on your favourite devices such as phones, laptops, tablets, etc.

They work by re-routing your internet connection through another region, e.g. Australia. Doing so helps you trick apps and websites into thinking you’re in whatever country you’ve connected to.

Out of all the VPNs available, ExpressVPN is your number one choice to watch Tour De France Femmes.

ExpressVPN offers speed so fast they’d make Annmiek Van Vleuten look slow. You’d have no issues getting crystal clear HD video streams with these connection speeds.

They even offer a 30-day money-back guarantee, so if you’re not happy, you can get your money back.

Alternatively, you could try NordVPN and Surfshark VPN. The choice is yours.

The last stage is an unforgiving 123.5KM over more mountainous terrain from Lure to La Super Planche Des Belles Filles.

Who to look out for?

There are a total of 24 teams from around the world entered into the Tour De France Femmes. However, there are a few names you should keep an eye out for.

Marianne Vos

Part of the Jumbo-Visma Dutch team, this cyclist is an excellent rider. She’s spearheading the team and will be looking to win several stages while bringing home the win. After performing well in the men’s Tour De France event, the team will look for more success.

Annnemiek Van Vleuten

She leads team Movistar and has recently had victory in the Giro and will be looking to take the win from this event too.

Helping her charge the way is Emma Norsgaard, who is excellent on the sprints… keep an eye out for her too.

Other athletes worth looking out for are Aude Biannic, Lotte Kopecky, Demi Vollering, Caroline Baur, and Yara Kastelijn.

Although SBS Cycling Central’s extensive live coverage of Tour De France Femmes ensures Australian cycling fans won’t miss a minute of the event. It means anyone outside the region won’t be able to have the same experience without my help.

But, by using a VPN app like ExpressVPN, you can avoid the region restrictions SBS Cycling Central places on its content and watch whatever country you’re in.

Get ExpressVPN today and watch the event in your country from start to finish without any annoying blocks.
