How to watch Super Bowl LV for free online

Chris has a passion for helping you watch your favourite TV abroad. When he isn't helping you he can be found watching football, browsing Netflix or watching a good documentary.

The Super Bowl is back and Super Bowl 2021 promises to be as exciting as ever.

If you’re not one of the lucky ones who has a ticket for the reduced capacity game then watching on TV is the next best thing.

However, depending on where you are in the world will depend on what kind of access you get to watch. In some countries the Super Bowl LV is shown for free, in others, it’s shown on expensive cable networks and in some, it’s not shown at all.

So if you’re a massive fan of Super Bowl or football in general then you’ll want to know how you can watch all the action.

It’s the very reason I’ve put together this guide and below I’ll be showing you the quick and easy way you can live stream the Super Bowl for free online from anywhere.

Watch on computer, tablet or phone

To watch the Super Bowl LV on your computer, tablet or phone you’ll need to get yourself a VPN app. This will allow you to watch an overseas stream of the game completely for free.

A VPN is a tiny app that lets you change your location.

In the case of Super Bowl, it’s being shown free online by the UK network, BBC iPlayer. It’s completely free legal stream of the game and best of all it has no commercial breaks.

There are a couple of VPN apps suitable for this. My recommendation is to use ExpressVPN but also NordVPN and CyberGhost VPN make good choices too.

Follow the steps below to get a VPN and to use it to watch the Super Bowl LV for free.

  1. Visit the ExpressVPN website by clicking here and sign up for their service.
  2. Download their app from the ‘Products’ area of their website.
  3. Open the app and login with the account details you created when you signed up.
  4. Press the ‘Selected Location‘ (1) button.
  5. Then press ‘United Kingdom‘ (2).
  6. Once connected visit the BBC iPlayer website or use their app, create a free account and enjoy watching the Super Bowl.

Watch the Super Bowl LV on your TV free

If you prefer to watch the game on the big screen (and who can blame you) then the best way to do this is by using an Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV Stick or Fire TV Cube.

For this you’ll need an Amazon Fire TV device and a VPN app that will allow you to unblock the UK’s stream of the game anywhere in the world.

You can use any of the three recommended VPN services from above. I’ve been using ExpressVPN though as they’re the easiest and fastest option.

  1. Visit the ExpressVPN website by clicking here and sign up for their service.
  2. On your Fire TV device use the search option to search ‘ExpressVPN’.
  3. Click to Download, Get or Install the app.
  4. Press ‘Home‘ and then click on the new ExpressVPN app.
  5. Press ‘Selected Location‘ and then press ‘United Kingdom‘.
  6. Once the app has connected press ‘Home’.
  7. Use ‘Internet’ (Silk Browser) or install ‘FireFox’ and use that.
  8. Then visit the BBC iPlayer website at:
  9. Now sit back and enjoy the Super Bowl 2021 on your big screen.

ExpressVPN Firestick

You can also use the iPlayer app the watch the game live but if you’re outside the UK you’ll need to follow this guide to install Amazon apps outside their intended country on your Fire TV device.

Super Bowl LV takes place in Florida in the United States.

It will take place at the Raymond James Stadium.

Who will entertain at Super Bowl?

While the Super Bowl game itself is the biggest draw one reason why the event continues to attract record viewers across the world is due to pre-match and in match entertainment plus the whole event surrounding the game.

This year Eric Church and R&B artist Jasmine Sullivan will sing the National Anthem.

R&B star H.E.R. will also be performing.

In Summary

To watch the Super Bowl for free online you’ll need to get yourself a VPN app.

It’s an inexpensive privacy app that lets you appear as if you’re in another country. I recommend using ExpressVPN.

Once you’ve got their app connect to the United Kingdom. You’ll now be able to watch Super Bowl in any country on the BBC iPlayher website or via their app.
