In this guide I’ll be showing you the simple way you can watch every match of the Six Nations 2020 live in any country including America, Australia and Canada.
The Six Nations also known as the ‘Guinness Six Nations’ is back for 2020.
It’s one of the most fiercely fought Rugby tournaments in the world and if you’re from one of the competing six nations that take part you won’t want to miss a second of the action.
Outside the six nations taking part coverage across the world can either be patchy or non-existent.
So if you want to watch in America, Australia, Canada or any other country you’ll either need to have an expensive cable subscription or you’ll have no access to watching at all.
Thankfully there’s a better solution and below I’ll be showing you how you can watch anywhere for free.
How to get started streaming the Rugby
All the games are being shown live in the UK on both the BBC and ITV Networks.
You can use a small app called a ‘VPN’ to alter your virtual location to the UK and stream all the games live.
Below I’ll show you how easy they are to use, meaning you can sit back and watch your favourite nation slug it out to be crowned this year’s champion.
Step 1: Sign up for a VPN
You’ll first need to choose a VPN app.
I’ve been using ExpressVPN because they’re one of the best. They’re slightly faster than the competition so you won’t get any buffering.
Visit the ExpressVPN website by clicking the button below, then press ‘Get ExpressVPN’ and sign up for their service.
It’s worth taking the 12-month package as it’s 49% cheaper than paying monthly. There’s also a 30-day money back guarantee in case you get stuck.
Step 2: Download the app
The steps are similar no matter which VPN you signed up for but I’ll be using my recommended VPN, ExpressVPN in the example steps from now on.
You now need to download and install the ExpressVPN app.
For regular computers, you can find this in the ‘Products’ section of the ExpressVPN website. They support both Windows and Mac OS computers and laptops.
If you’ve got a tablet or phone using Android or iOS then you can search your usual app store for ‘ExpressVPN’ and install the app directly from there.
Step 3: Open the app
Open the app and login with your username and password.
It’s the username and password you created when you signed up for their service
Step 4: Connect to the UK
If you’re using a computer then press the ‘Selected Location‘ button and then press ‘United Kingdom‘. You might also need to press the ‘Connect’ button.
Mobile and tablet users should press “…” next to Selected Location and then click on ‘United Kingdom‘.
Step 5: Sit back and cheer
Once the app has connected you’ll be able to watch the live games when they take place on the TV Player website.

How can I download the TV network apps?
If you’re outside the UK and want to watch on a mobile or tablet then you’ll need to download both the BBC iPlayer app and the ITV Hub app.
This is likely to be blocked if you’re not from the UK.
Android users can download the apps from the following locations by visiting using a regular web-browser.
- BBC iPlayer: https://apkpure.com/bbc-iplayer/bbc.iplayer.android
- ITV Hub: https://apkpure.com/itv-hub/air.ITVMobilePlayer
If you’re an Apple iOS user, for example have an iPhone or iPad you’ll need to follow this dedicated guide on how to install iOS apps outside their intended country.
Can I watch the Six Nations on a Fire TV?
If you’ve got an Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV Stick or Fire TV Cube then you’ll also be able to watch on these devices.
You’ll need to sign up for ExpressVPN as explained above and download their app directly on your Amazon device by searching ‘ExpressVPN’.
You will then need to follow our dedicated guide on how to install Amazon apps outside their intended country.
It’s much easier to watch directly on a computer or laptop because you don’t need any additional apps to watch, only the VPN app.
If you’re a huge Rugby fan then you’ll definitely want to watch the Six Nations action, especially if you’re a fan of England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, France or Italy.
However, depending on where you are in the world your access to coverage could be limited.
To watch every game you’ll need to get a VPN app from ExpressVPN. You can sign up using the link below.
Once you’ve signed up and downloaded their app you should connect to the United Kingdom. You’ll now be able to watch every match on either the UK’s BBC or ITV networks totally free via TVPlayer.com or via the network’s websites or apps themselves.
