Itching to watch SAS Australia but out of the country? In this article I will be discussing exactly that, and showing you how to view it from any country in the world.

Regional restrictions will be a thing of the past with this one tip I’ll be showing you.

SAS Australia is looking set to be one of the toughest TV competitions ever seen.

Based on the British version “SAS: Who Dares Wins”, the show will see a group of celebrities go through some of the most rigorous military training in the world.

The celebrities will no longer have the comfort of their million-dollar homes. Instead, they will have to make do with whatever the training team throws at them. If they don’t like it, they can leave.

What channel is SAS Australia on?

If you want to watch SAS Australia, then you will need access to Australia’s Network 7, or the online streaming service 7Plus.

Both are available to Australian residents living in the country. If you are outside of Australia, you will need to find a way around this problem.

Luckily for you, I have a solution which I’ll discuss with you in the next section.

How to watch outside Australia?

Unlocking TV shows from another country has never been easier.

To do so, all you need is an app called a ‘VPN‘ (or Virtual Private Network… but let’s not get too technical).

A VPN can help by allowing you to connect to the internet through servers located all around the world.

By doing so, you are giving your device a connection to a virtual location that will make websites such as 7plus think you are in Australia. This will provide you with full access to ALL the content on the 7Plus site.

Originally designed to increase your security while you are surfing the internet, VPNs have been at the forefront of the internet security industry, I would never go online without one now.

Where to get a VPN?

With so many VPNs on the modern market, it is easy to get confused, not knowing what one is the right VPN for you.

Personally, I have always found ExpressVPN to handle all of my VPN needs.

Not only are they one of the fastest VPN services on the market which is excellent for watching video, but they offer a large 3000+ servers located in over 160 countries.

These include many servers local to Australia in places such as Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney. This gives you the fastest download speeds that are perfect for streaming in full 4k HD.

They’re not the only provider, though. It’s worth mentioning NordVPN and Surfshark. Both are fantastic VPN services so if you’ve got time to make some comparison, check them out too – if not, stick with ExpressVPN, you can’t go wrong.

How to watch SAS Australia in the UK

If you’re an Aussie in the UK or you’re just a big fan of the show and live in the UK, don’t panic.

Thankfully, the way to watch in the UK is the same as every other country outside Australia.

Grab yourself a VPN and sign up. You can then get viewing in the UK. Follow the five steps in the step-by-step above to get watching SAS Australia anywhere in the UK.

What is SAS Australia all about?

What would happen if you took a group of celebrities and put them through what is thought of as the most formidable military training in the world?

Well, that is the question that this show will be answering.

Seventeen celebs ranging from comedians, athletes, reality TV stars, and even Miss Universe Australia will be put through some of the most gruelling SAS training programmes to see who has what it takes to survive right to the end.

Lead by ex-special forces operatives who have all been through the training themselves and have seen conflicts all over the world, each celebrity will have their limits pushed and their fears brought out for us all to see.

If this show is anything like its British counterpart, it will be brutal.

I can tell you one thing for certain, the celebrities that you least expect to endure such an ordeal are usually the ones who come out on top.

This competition shows people what they are capable of when they put their minds to something.

Summary

If you want to watch a group of celebs from all walks of life go through some of the most brutal Special Forces training, then SAS Australia is the show for you.

However, to access the show you will need to have access to 7Plus, which is an Australian online streaming channel. Unfortunately, it is regionally restricted to those who live in Australia.

To avoid the regional restrictions, you will need to use a VPN such as ExpressVPN.

  2. Tessa says:

Signed up and got Express VPN but the 7plus site won’t work if you use a VPN 🙁

      Hi Tessa,

Just doubled checked and it works fine here. You’ll need to connect to their ‘Sydney 2’ location. Let me know how you get on.

All fine if you want to watch it on your laptop, but to cast to the tv, you’d need to configure your router (assuming you can) to do so.

    • Chris says:

      Hi Pauline,

Definitely true that it’s a little more involved to watch on an actual TV, but it doesn’t need to be too complicated.

Probably the two easiest ways would be, use a HDMI cable from the laptop to TV, very easy, but obviously you’ve got a cable trailing. Or if you’ve got an Amazon Fire TV, Fire Stick or Fire Cube you can install a VPN directly onto it and watch via the browser app on your TV.

Most home routers don’t let you set up VPN on them so you’d need a dedicated VPN router like the Invizbox 2, but there’s obviously a $100 or so outlay for that so not a cheap option.
