One of the most famous races of all time is back for it’s 42nd running (pun intended)… the London Marathon.

Each year thousands of participants run 26.2 miles through the streets of London to achieve their best running times, and those who aren’t taking part can watch it on TV.

Below I’ll show you the quick and easy way you can live stream the entire London Marathon from any country in the world.

So let’s get to it.

Where is the London Marathon shown?

The marathon will be shown on BBC iPlayer. However, if you are living outside of the UK and its territories, you will find that you can’t access the streaming platform due to geo-restrictions, blocking it to everyone outside of the UK.

This isn’t great if you are living overseas in countries such as Australia, Canada, India, the US or any other for that matter.

Luckily for you, I have a solution that will have you watching the London Marathon in the United States, Canada or wherever you happen to be a matter of minutes.

How can I watch outside the UK?

To watch the London Marathon outside of the UK, you will need a VPN app.

The original purpose of a VPN is as an internet security tool that was developed to protect users from having their data stolen while they are surfing the web.

However, you may also use a VPN to connect your internet to servers located in another country, tricking websites and streaming platforms into thinking you are in another region.

This is very useful for when you want to access overseas content that is usually blocked.

A VPN such as ExpressVPN will provide you with everything you need to watch the London Marathon in full HD, giving you crystal clear streams thanks to their ultra-fast connections to servers around the globe.

ExpressVPN works exceptionally well with BBC iPlayer. It’s worth noting that not all VPN services do.

You may also want to check out NordVPN and CyberGhost, both offer competitive services and are up there with the best, so the choice is yours.
