Listen up Potter heads, are you looking to watch all eight Harry Potter movies but can’t find them on Netflix?
Well, don’t worry.
We’ve got all the details you need to unlock the popular wizard movies in your country.
The Harry Potter film series was an instant hit ever since universal released it, and it introduced the wizarding world to us all. Whether you fell in love with the JK Rowling books or the Harry Potter movies, the name ‘Harry Potter’ and his story became one of the best known in the world.
The Harry Potter films smashed box office records around the world.
It is so popular that viewers are still eager to re-watch the films even today. Furthermore, the relatively new Fantastic Beasts films relied heavily on the Harry Potter hype that is still very much alive today.
There has even been talk of a TV show, which, if it’s anything like the movies, it’ll be great.
So, if you’ve got a few days free, why not go on a Harry Potter Netflix binge, and remind yourself of an epic story that J.K. Rowling brought to life?
Below I’ll be showing you how.
Is the Harry Potter series available on Netflix?
If you’re looking to watch Harry Potter on Netflix, you’re out of look.
Unfortunately, most regions around the world cannot access the Harry Potter series on Netflix. It’s not listed.
It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Sorcerer’s Stone, Chamber of Secrets or any other of the Harry Potter movies – you won’t find them on the streaming service.
The only Netflix region that does have it is Netflix Turkey. This poses an issue if you plan to watch it on Netflix, but there is a way around this restriction.
So if you want to watch the movies about ‘the boy who lived’ then read on.
What do you need to watch Harry Potter?
As mentioned, the Harry Potter movies are only available in one Netflix region. To access it, you will have to gain access to the Turkish version of Netflix by changing your IP address.
This can be achieved successfully by using a VPN app, such as NordVPN, which is your best bet.
VPN: This is a tool used by millions of users to protect their online privacy and can help you change your location.
NordVPN is fast, which makes it perfect for streaming the Harry Potter movies. It has servers in Turkey, and best of all – it can unblock Netflix Turkey.
This is not something that a lot of VPNs can do, but there’s another that you might choose apart from NordVPN, and that is Surfshark VPN.
They are a great alternative and work with 15 Netflix regions. Which of the two you choose is up to you.

How to watch Harry Potter on Netflix
Follow these five steps and you’ll be watching Harry Potter on Netflix quicker than Ernie drives his bus:
- Pick a VPN such as NordVPN, visit their site and create an account. You will have to pick a payment plan and enter your payment details, as well.
- Download and install the app.
- Launch it and log in.
- Connect to Turkey by typing ‘Turkey’ into the search bar, then select the server. You can also connect by clicking on Turkey via the map.
- You’ll now need to press ‘Connect‘.
- Once connected, open the Netflix app or visit the Netflix website and search ‘Harry Potter’. You’ll now have access to watch all the Harry Potter movies.
Nord is very straight forward, with no need for any complicated programming. I hope you enjoy watching harry and his friends getting up to all sorts of mischief.
Will US Netflix ever have the Harry Potter movies?
Unfortunately, this is very unlikely you’ll see the Harry Potter movies back on US Netflix.
It is not that Netflix does not want United States customers to watch Harry Potter movies online, but due to reasons such as licensing and exclusivity clauses with cable networks, it would be challenging for the streaming platform to pull off.
You can currently watch the Harry Potter movies on the HBO streaming service (HBO Max), although it is unlikely that it will remain there forever due to similar reasons.
The best way to ensure you can watch when you want Hogwarts fans is by using the Virtual Private Network solution explained above.

Did they remove Harry Potter from Netflix?
Yes, kind of.
A while back, Harry Potter was removed from most Netflix libraries except for Australia and New Zealand, but this has now changed. Neither New Zealand nor Australia has the Harry Potter movies on their Netflix libraries.
In fact, they removed the movie franchise from almost all Netflix regions recently apart from Turkey, and there’s no sign of it coming back anytime soon.
So if you want to watch Harry Potter on your Netflix subscription, you’ll need access to Netflix Turkey or will need to look for another solution to your problem.
Unfortunately, no wave of a wand will bring it back, but I do have a solution for you which I explained above.
Is Harry Potter on Disney Plus?
No, Disney+ doesn’t have Harry Potter on offer. To watch Harry Potter online you’ll need to have access to Peacock TV, but I’ll be speaking about that in a moment. Or as mentioned above, have access to Netflix Turkey.
Disney+ does offer a wide variety of excellent content, such as the entire Marvel collection (Iron Man, Avengers, Hulk, Captain America, etc).
They also offer all of the Star Wars collections, including exclusive new content such as The Mandalorian, which is shown nowhere else.
Is Harry Potter on Amazon Prime Video or Hulu?
Similarly to Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Hulu also do not feature Harry Potter films. This pretty much leaves you with HBO if you’re in the US, or Turkish Netflix through a VPN if you’re anywhere else or in the US and don’t have access to HBO.
This is often the case when it comes to licenses and legal difficulties, and while unfortunate, there is nothing you can do about it.
However, don’t worry, as you can quickly fire up a VPN app and watch Harry Potter on Netflix wherever you are in the world.
Where can I watch Harry Potter outside of Netflix?
The entire Harry Potter collection (from the Sourcerers stone to the Deathly Hallows) is available to stream online on the US service Peacock TV.
To access the Harry Potter movies on Peacock, you’ll need a valid subscription to their service. The Peacock service won’t accept international payment methods, which is a bit of a bummer.
But, if you’re not a US resident with a US payment method, you can use Statescard to pay for Peacock from anywhere in the world.
Peacock not only has Harry Potter, but their subscription includes access to Premier League games that aren’t shown in the UK and a host of exclusive Television shows such as the Saved By The Bell reboot.
While this is a great solution for you to access Harry Potter and has an excellent selection of content for you to watch, it can be pretty expensive as using Statescard and paying for Peacock will quickly add up.
If you’re looking for a cost-effective method for accessing Harry Potter, then you should use a VPN such as NordVPN and then use it to access Turkish Netflix. This will allow you to bypass any geo-restrictions in place and give you access to the magical franchise.
The Harry Potter story has been a phenomenon for over two decades, from the moment the first story-book came out until the last film aired (Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows).
I actually remember buying the videos (VHS) with my pocket money and I’d binge-watch them on my video player.
Indeed, many would say that it still survives to this day, and it certainly has a massive fandom. Most people know the story of Harry Potter.
However, it is not that easy to find it online to stream, as licensing prevents services from offering it in most regions.
But, if you want to watch it, there is a way, although it will require you to use a VPN, as we explained before.
The process is simple. Sign up for a VPN provider such as NordVPN and download their app. Then connect to Turkey.
Once you’re connected, you can visit Netflix like usual or open their app and binge-watch Daniel Radcliffe and the gang in any Harry Potter movie you wish.
Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows is a personal favourite of mine. I would love to hear what yours is?
