1. The Gathering Storm (2002)

Although Tom Hiddleston doesn’t play the main character in this film, this is one of his early roles, and the movie itself is worth watching.

The prominent roles are played by Dame Judi Dench, Imelda Staunton, and Julia McKenzie.

The British adaptation of the Swedish novel series Kurt Wallander by Henning Mankell, produced by the BBC and starring Kenneth Branagh as the titular character.

His team at the police station is composed of Anne-Britt Hoglund (Sarah Smart), Kalle Svedberg (Tom Beard), and Magnus Martinsson (Tom Hiddleston).

5. Archipelago (2010)

Another film written and directed by Joanna Hogg. The film follows a family going on a holiday to the isles of Scilly, Italy.

On their vacation, they face emotional fractures and troubles that will affect their dynamic. Edward (Hiddleston) is going through his quarter-life crisis, so after quitting his job, he decides to work as a volunteer to promote safe sex and stop the spreading of AIDS.
