In India there is an online streaming service called Starsports and on this website they’ve shown all of the ICC World Twenty20 2016 cricket matches so far. They’ll be showing the final between England and the West Indies live online on Sunday, 3rd April 2016 at 19:00 IST.
That’s about 14:30 in the UK, 23:30 in Sydney, Australia and around 09:30 in Barbados.
If you’re outside India and you try to visit the site you’re blocked from viewing but there is a really simple way around that block.

So, how do you bypass that block?
A simple tool called a Virtual Private Network (VPN) will let you virtually reside in any country in the world. When you visit the Starsports website it checks your location and if you’re not in India then it blocks you.
With a VPN you can appear as if you are in India even though you’re somewhere else and rather than be blocked it’ll stream you the ICC World Twenty20 final between England and the West Indies, simple!

How to use the VPN
Once you’ve signed up to a VPN service of your choice you should download their Windows or Mac software. You can find links in your welcome email or on their website.
The Mac software looks exactly the same as the PC software and in the guide below I’m going to show you the step-by-step process with each provider.
IPVanish
- Download and install the software.
- Run it.
- In the box highlighted in red in the image below change the option to OpenVPN (UDP).
- Click Server Selection on the left-hand side.
- Click List.
- In the Search box type India.
- Select the uppermost option and press Connect.
IPVanish will now make connection. Once connected you now appear in India and can visit the Starsports Cricket website to watch live.
Overplay
- Download and install the software.
- Run it.
- Under the Overplay logo, Click PPTP.
- Find the Delhi server, press on it.
- Press Connect.
Once connected you can visit the Starsports Cricket website and watch live.
ExpressVPN
- Download and install the software.
- Run it.
- Press Select Another Location.
- Press By Region.
- Double click Africa, Middle East & India.
- Double click India.
- Double click any Indian location.
- ExpressVPN will now make connection.
Once connected head over to the Starsports Cricket page and you can watch live.
When you’ve finished watching simply disconnect.
