In this guide I’m going to show you how you can watch Canadian Bravo outside Canada from any country in the world. If you’re a Bravo fan then this is definitely the correct guide for you.
Bravo Canada has some of the best shows including the likes of The Handmaid’s Tale, Queen of the South, Shooter, Killing Eve, Suits and more but if you’re outside Canada it’s blocked.
This isn’t unusual as most networks block you when you go overseas.
If you want to watch one of your favourite shows when travelling then this can be a huge disappointment.
The good news is there is a really easy way you can watch Canadian Bravo outside Canada and below I’m going to show you how.
Why is Canadian Bravo blocked?
If you’re outside Canada and you wanted to watch Bravo then you’ve probably already tried. After all, it’s why you’ve ended up at this article searching for a solution, right?
In that case, you’ll already know that Canadian Bravo is blocked outside Canada and you’ll have been hit with this message:
You don’t need me to tell you the reason you’re blocked – it’s because you’re outside Canada and the Canadian Bravo website is restricted for use within Canada only.
To unblock Canadian Bravo while you’re overseas you’ll need to get yourself an app called a VPN. These are provided by many companies but my favourite right now is ExpressVPN.
A VPN is a legal privacy app that lets you disguise your online location so you appear somewhere else. In this case, appear in Canada.
Below I’m going to show you the best place to get a VPN and the simple 5-steps you’ll need to use it to watch Bravo outside Canada.
How to watch Canadian Bravo outside Canada
To watch Canadian Bravo you need to get yourself a VPN service. This will cost a couple of dollars and there are hundreds of companies out there to choose from.
My favourite VPN service right now is ExpressVPN because they’re a bit easier and more reliable than the rest but my three top choices are:
All you need to do is choose one of the above and then follow my step-by-step guide below. In this example, I’m using ExpressVPN but it’s much the same with the other providers.
- Visit your chosen VPN provider such as ExpressVPN by clicking here and sign up for their service.
- Go to the ‘Products’ section of their website and download and install the correct app for your device.
- Open the app and login when asked.
- Press Choose Location and then All, then Americas and then Canada.
- The app should automatically connect for you but if not press Connect.
It should take less than 15 seconds for the ExpressVPN app to connect.
Once it’s connected all you need to do is head over to the Bravo Canada website.
To watch both Live and Catch-up TV you’ll need to sign in with your Bell, Rogers, Shaw or Telus, etc. details and then you’ll be able to watch without issue.
Sadly a VPN won’t let you bypass logging in with a valid cable provider details the same as when you’re back at home in Canada. As long as you’ve got valid login details though you’ll be able to watch anywhere in the world.
How does a VPN even work!?
Yes, yes, I know. A VPN seems like some kind of magical being from another planet.
In just a couple of clicks you can unblock the previously blocked Canadian Bravo in any country in the world. It seems like some weird voodoo magic but it isn’t and below I’ll explain.
When you access the Bravo Canada website it checks your internet connection to determine where you are.
It does this by looking at something called your IP Address.
An IP Address is a set of numbers similar to a phone number unique to you at the time of connection.
By using a VPN you can get an IP Address from another country so it looks to websites like you’re somewhere else.
In the case of watching Canadian Bravo you can get a Canadian IP Address. So when you visit the Bravo website it instead thinks you’re in Canada but in reality, it’s really the VPN service that’s “in” Canada.
All they do is then forward all the good stuff from Bravo to you wherever you really are in the world.
The best thing about all of this? You don’t even notice this process because the app takes care of everything for you. All you have to do is sit back and enjoy Canadian Bravo wherever you are in the world.
