How to watch the Brit Awards outside the UK

Watching the Brit Awards however, is pretty tricky.
If you’re not in the UK then getting to watch the Brit Awards can be near impossible. Very few networks around the world cover it and if they do, it’s usually shown on expensive cable networks that you’re unlikely to have a subscription to.
There is however a super simple way you can live stream the Brit Awards online and in this guide, I’ll be explaining how you can do just that.
Live stream the Brit Awards anywhere
So you want to watch the Brit Awards in America, Australia, Canada or any other country?
Well, you can.
The Brit Awards are being shown live on the UK’s ITV network and streamed live online at the same time on their online service ITV Hub.
If you live outside the UK then you’ll need a VPN app to access this. Otherwise you’ll be blocked from watching.
The steps below show you where to get a VPN and how to use it to unblock and watch the Brit Awards in your country.
Step 1
You first need to sign up for a VPN service. There are some 500 out there but it’s essential to get one that works with ITV Hub and just signing up to any random one you find on Google is a bad idea.
The following three are my favourites:
- ExpressVPN – Recommended

- NordVPN
I recommend signing up to ExpressVPN because they’re a little bit easier and quicker than the rest but any of the three above will do the job.

Step 2
Now you’ve signed up (if you haven’t yet – get and do it!) you’ll need to download the VPN app.
I’ll be using ExpressVPN as my example but it’s pretty similar using the others too.
You can download their mobile app from your regular app store. All you need to do is search for ‘ExpressVPN’.
If you want to watch on your computer, then you can get their app from the ‘Products‘ area of their website.
Download the VPN app.
Download it and install it.
Step 3
When the app is downloaded and installed open it and login with your account details.
They’re the same details you created when you signed up for the VPN service.
Step 4
Press ‘Selected Location‘ (1) (on mobile device it’s the three dots icon next to ‘Selected Location’) and then select ‘United Kingdom‘ (2).
On a computer you’ll need to press ‘Connect‘ too but on a mobile device, it’ll start connecting for you.
Using ExpressVPN, you can watch the Brit Awards in any country.
Step 5
Once the ExpressVPN app has connected go to the ITV Hub website where you’ll be able to live stream the entire Brit Awards in any country.
You can also use the ITV Hub app.
You’ll need to create a free ITV Hub account and enter a UK Post Code but this can be any. Some you can use are, ‘NR11 5GZ’, ‘WR12 7DT’, ‘SE3 7AE’ or ‘MK3 5JB’.
When are the Brit Awards taking place?
The Brit Awards take place on 11th May 2023 which is a Tuesday.
You can watch live coverage from 8 pm GMT. That’s UK time and if you need to work out the time in your country then use a site like The Time Zone Converter.
Who’s hosting this year’s awards?
This year Jack Whitehall better known for Bad Education and Fresh Meat will again be presenting the Brit Awards.
He presided over the 2018, 2019 and 2020 awards ceremony and was a big hit because of his jokes.

The 1975, J Hus and Dua Lipa are some of the most popular stars this year with performances from Coldplay, Olivia Rodrigo, The Weeknd and Lipa.

The Brit Awards are heading back to the o2 Arena in London, England.
The awards have been hosted there every year since 2011 and with a capacity of up to 20,000, it’s not difficult to see why.
However, this year it’ll be a little different with a crowd of 4000.

The UK has given the world some of its most prominent artists both in history and currently.
This year you’ll be able to see the likes of Olivia Rodrigo, The Weeknd, Dua Lipa and Coldplay.
