How to watch Big Brother outside Australia
Lee is an avid 80's action fan classing 300, Predator and Terminator among his favourites. When he's not binging movies he can be found keeping fit, attending Comic Con and wearing Star Wars socks of all things.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past 20 years, then you’ll have heard of the very popular reality TV show Big Brother.
Last year, the show returned to the Australian TV channel Network Seven and it was very well received by audiences in and outside of Australia. So much so that the show has returned and is being shown again on Australia’s streaming platform 7Plus.
However, if you’re outside of Australia then you’ll need to get some help to access 7Plus as it’s only available to those living within Australia.
But don’t worry, this is why I’m here. I can help you, so read on.
In this article, I’ll show you how to unblock 7Plus from anywhere in the world by using an app called a VPN. This will let you watch Big Brother Australia (& Big Brother VIP) wherever you are on the planet.
The VPN I’ll be discussing is ExpressVPN as they are the best in the business for unblocking streaming sites and avoiding regional restrictions.
But first, let’s take a look at how to set up ExpressVPN so you can hit the ground running and not miss a second of Big Brother Australia.
Steps to stream Big Brother Australia
To unblock Big Brother Australia from anywhere in the world, you’ll need to have access to ExpressVPN.
Follow the steps below and you’ll be set up in minutes.
- Visit the ExpressVPN site and follow the onscreen instructions to set up your ExpressVPN account. It’s worth keeping in mind that the longer-term VPN packages offer the best prices, such as ExpressVPN’s 12 month package that comes with a discount of 49% and 3 free months.
- Download the ExpressVPN app from your devices app store or from the ExpressVPN site. Then log in using your username and password or the supplied activation code.

How a VPN helps you watch anywhere
Using a VPN will help you access Big Brother Australia from anywhere by allowing you to re-route your internet connection through a location in Australia.
By doing so, you’ll be able to trick websites such as 7Plus into thinking you’re in Australia, bypassing any restrictions on content.
You can use this handy trick to view the content of any country, you simply need to select what region you want to connect to (such as the US) and then click the connect button. It’s that simple.
I’ll discuss some of the other benefits of using a VPN in a moment, there are many.
What is Big Brother about?
Big Brother is a reality TV show that puts 20 contestants from all walks of life into a huge house where they will spend the next 60 days.
The house is under 24 hour CCTV surveillance, so you can tune in and watch the contestants live their lives every second of the day. You really don’t miss a thing. There isn’t any privacy on this show.
And, to add fuel to the fire, the contestants are often split into groups and made to compete against each other.
This years edition sees the 20 housemates competing against each other to avoid being voted off of the show and winning the $250,000 cash prize… “Crikey mate, sign me up”.
As you can imagine, a large cash prize will bring out the worst in everyone, and you get to watch every moment.
The show is hosted by Sonia Kruger, who will be interviewing the housemates about their strategies and their conniving little tricks.
If last years Big Brother Australia is anything to go by, this one will be explosive.

Who stars in Big Brother?
Each year Big Brother has new contestants taking part.
Unlike Big Brother’s celebrity specials, it’s unlikely that you’ll know any of the contestants as they’re as normal as you and I.
I say normal, but really some of them are complete nutcases. It all adds to the fun, I guess.
What else can a VPN do?
As I said earlier in the article, a VPN has many uses.
Originally, VPNs were created to help keep your data safe while you went online. By doing so, you’d be protecting yourself from online snoopers such as marketers, governments, and even hackers.
VPNs are also very useful for protecting you against online censorship, allowing you to access “banned” or blocked websites. This is particularly useful in countries such as China, Russia, the Middle East, etc.
However, it didn’t take people long to realise that VPNs could be used to bypass regional restrictions, giving you access to as much international content as you want.
Additional content from streaming platforms such as Netflix can be accessed, giving Netflix users thousands of more TV shows and movies to choose from.
If you’ve been looking to watch Big Brother Australia on 7Plus from outside of Australia, then you’ll need the help of a VPN.
ExpressVPN is the leading VPN service for accessing overseas video content. Express will have no trouble helping you unlock and stream Big Brother Australia from anywhere.
Get ExpressVPN now and watch one of the world’s longest serving reality TV shows ever to grace our televisions.
I have 2 questions. I’m looking to watch Big Brother Australia seasons 1-11. Will it be commercial free? Will I be able to watch it on my t.v? Thanks for any help you can provide. Lori
7Plus shows commercials so no it wouldn’t be commercial free.
The only way to watch on your TV would be to connect a laptop or tablet to your TV. Alternatively you may be able to use a Fire TV device and then use the built in web browser, although we haven’t tried this.
Tried all that and 7Plus just won’t play any episodes of anything…keeps saying technical Difficulties try later..and I try later and later same results…HELP!
Are you able to try a different device or different web browser as it may help.
