Lee

Lee is an avid 80's action fan classing 300, Predator and Terminator among his favourites. When he's not binging movies he can be found keeping fit, attending Comic Con and wearing Star Wars socks of all things.

In 2005, Fox released one of TVs smartest TV shows ever made, Prison Break.

If you missed it the first time around or you want to check out what the hype was about, then Netflix is probably where you’re heading.

But wait just a minute, it might not be available there.

Throughout this article, I’ll be discussing this question and showing you exactly how you can access the show on Netflix, no matter where you are located.

So if you’ve already searched and can’t find it, read on to unlock it.

Can I watch Prison Break on Netflix?

Prison Break is currently available on Netflix in most regions, such as the UK, Canada, and Hong Kong.

But, the show isn’t available in the United States or Australia, which is far from ideal, especially when you are itching to watch the show.

Now, I’m not going to show you how to break free from prison because, one, I haven’t got that skillset, and two, that would be illegal.

However, what I can show you is how to unlock any of Netflix’s movies and TV shows from any Netflix library of your choosing.

I have that skill set, and all you need to do is keep scrolling down.

Tools you will need

Unlocking Prison Break on Netflix is a lot easier than breaking out of prison.

In fact, all you need is a tiny app called a VPN.

A VPN is a virtual private network that allows you to connect to the internet via servers located in other regions. By doing so, you will be able to bypass any regional restrictions, giving you access to additional content you didn’t have access to beforehand.

E.g. Netflix movies or shows such as Prison Break.

So if you are living in the United States, Australia or elsewhere, you will be able to trick Netflix into thinking you are living in a country that has the show available, for example, the UK.

The best feature about this is you’re not limited to online streaming Prison Break, but loads of added movies and TV shows that otherwise wouldn’t be available.

Where to get a VPN?

If you search the internet for a VPN, you will come across hundreds of options.

The problem is, not all VPNs are created equal.

My number 1 recommendation is ExpressVPN.

They offer what can only be described as a world-class service, they have the fastest connection speeds and over 3000 servers that you can connect to.

So if you want to stream 4K video content, this is the VPN for you. They also have a super neat 30-day money back guarantee so there is no risk to give them a try.

You may also want to consider checking out CyberGhost VPN and Surfshark VPN. Both offer an excellent service and the decision is yours.

What’s Prison Break all about?

Michael Scoffield is a normal man who has to hatch a plan for a daring Prison Break to rescue his brother. His brother Lincoln is wrongfully accused of murdering the vice president’s brother and is due the death penalty immanently.

He is left with no option other than to break his brother out of prison, from the inside.

The problem is, there is only one way to get into Fox River State Penitentiary, which is to commit an awful crime.

Michael must breakout his brother before his death sentence, failing to do so will leave the pair of them stuck inside the prison for life, and Fox State is not somewhere you want to stay long.

I have left out many details, as I don’t want to spoil the show for you. It is definitely one of the best TV shows I have ever watched.

With six seasons available it’s a great show to binge-watch, but you’ll need a few weekends to do so.

Who stars in Prison Break?

  • Wentworth Miller – This actor has also starred in Underworld, Resident Evil: Afterlife, The Loft, 2 Hours 2 Vegas, Blood Creek, and Romeo & Juliet.
  • Dominic Purcell – He is best known for his roles in Mission Impossible 2, Blade Trinity, Blood Creek, In The Name Of The King 3, Equilibrium, and Killer Elite.
  • Peter Stormare – Best known for his roles in Jurassic Park: The Lost World, Bad Boys 2, Constantine, The Last Stand, John Wick: Chapter 2, 22 Jump Street, and Pain & Gain.
  • Amaury Nolasco – He is also known for his roles in Street Kings, Max Payne, 2 Fast 2 Furious, In The Blood, and The Benchwarmers.
  • William Fitchner – This actor is best known for starring in Black Hawk Down, Blades Of Glory, 12 Strong, Independence Day: Resurgence, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Elysium.

Summary

Prison Break is available on Netflix in several countries such as the UK and Canada.

However, the show is unavailable in the United States, Australia and some other regions which will leave many of you frustrated and unable to watch the show.

If you want to unlock the show on Netflix, you will need to use a VPN to bypass the regional restrictions.

My recommendation is to use ExpressVPN, which is an excellent service and is very user friendly. (See my step by step guide).

So don’t wait around, get your VPN now and enjoy the show that kept me up for hours on end while I binge-watched whole seasons.

With most seasons containing 20+ episodes, it will keep you busy for a while.

Let’s get watching!
