Watch Formula 1 2016 online

Learn how to watch Formula 1 2016 online from anywhere in the world in this following guide.

I’m sure you’ll agree Formula 1 is one of the greatest sports in the world. 2015 was an exciting year in F1 as Lewis Hamilton finished first but with some tough competition from Nico Rosberg who won back to back races towards the end of the season it made for an exciting climax.

Formula 1 is back for 2016 and kicks off with the Australian Grand Prix on 20th March 2016.

If like me you love watching Formula 1 then you’ll have noticed it has become increasingly difficult to watch the races as the years have gone by. Some TV stations show only a few races, some show none and others require you to sign up to expensive cable subscriptions that come with hundreds of other stations you don’t want that you end up paying over the odds for.

Today I’m going to show you how you can watch Formula 1 2016 online from anywhere in the world and for just a few dollars. Don’t worry though, there are no sketchy or dodgy websites to visit and you won’t get any viruses or trojans like those pirate streams you see dotted around the internet.

So read on to find out how to watch Formula 1 2016 online from anywhere in the world.

How to watch Formula 1 2016 Online

Many different TV networks around the world show Formula 1 for free but you’ve got to know where to look. I’ve done the research for you and found all the networks showing the Formula 1 races.

If you try to access these official websites outside the intended country then you’re blocked from viewing and will see a similar image to the one below.

An example of a block message you may see.

Luckily though there is a way to bypass these blocks and watch the Formula 1 2016 Grand Prix races from anywhere.

When you visit the sites showing the races they check to see what country you’re in. When it sees you’re not in the intended country you get blocked. Thankfully there is a small legal tool called a Virtual Private Network (VPN) that allows you to disguise your online location and appear somewhere else for privacy reasons.

So to watch Formula 1 2016 online from anywhere in the world you firstly need to get a VPN service. Keep reading below and I’ll show you where you can get one and how to use it to watch the 2016 Formula 1.

Get a VPN to watch Formula 1 2016

Formula 1 2016 is shown free online in the United Kingdom, Australia, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Spain & Russia so you’ll need a VPN service that has access to all these countries to ensure you get to watch all the races.

The three VPN providers below are the cheapest, fastest and have access to all the countries you require.

  1. IPVanish
  2. StrongVPN
  3. ExpressVPN

Just click one of their names to visit their site and sign up.

A VPN package will cost around US$5 – 10 per month. It’s worthwhile signing up for a 6 month or 12 month package as you’ll save money and then be able to access all the races.

Once you’ve signed up, download their software for your PC or Mac. You’ll find a link in your welcome email or directly on their website.

The software is really easy to use, in the example image below I’m using IPVanish. Simply click Server Selection then List and then scroll to find the correct country.

You can use this handy table below. Just connect to the correct country on your VPN software then click the flag of your choice in this table and it’ll take you directly to the website.

Remember not every site will be showing every race so you may need to check a few to find the live stream.
